POLICIES & PROCEDURES:
QUALITY ASSURANCE

Crosby Training is committed to delivering high-quality training, assessment and support. This policy explains how quality is monitored, assured and improved, supporting continuous improvement, consistency and accountability.

SCOPE

Applies to all staff, associates, subcontractors, trainers, assessors, IQAs, managers and learners involved in Crosby Training provision.

QUALITY PRINCIPLES

Quality assurance focuses on learner experience, achievement and safety, maintaining fair assessment, using evidence to improve performance, supporting staff development, and meeting regulatory and awarding-body requirements.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Senior leaders oversee quality arrangements and resources. Managers implement quality processes and monitor actions. Staff follow procedures and improvement actions. IQAs verify assessment quality and consistency. Learners contribute through feedback and reviews.

QUALITY ASSURANCE & IMPROVEMENT

Quality is monitored through observations, sampling, audits, feedback, standardisation activities, performance monitoring, safeguarding reviews, and analysis of complaints and appeals. IQA activity is planned and risk-based to ensure assessment decisions are valid, authentic, sufficient and consistent. Quality improvement plans record actions arising from reviews, audits, feedback and performance data.

LEARNER VOICE & STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Learner feedback is gathered through surveys, reviews, complaints and discussions and used to identify improvements. Staff receive induction, training, supervision and ongoing CPD, with additional support provided where quality activities identify development needs.

PERFORMANCE MONITORING

Indicators including attendance, achievement, learner satisfaction, progression and compliance are reviewed regularly to identify trends and improvement needs.

COMPLAINTS, EQUALITY & INCLUSION

Complaints, appeals and concerns are investigated and reviewed to identify lessons learned. Quality assurance activities promote fair, accessible and inclusive provision, with reasonable adjustments provided where required.

RECORDS & CONFIDENTIALITY

Quality assurance records are stored securely, retained appropriately and accessible only to authorised staff.
