If you have been following our news stories over the last few weeks, you will know that we are playing a key role in delivering Liverpool’s very first Aviation Academies.

Delivered in partnership with Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Department for Work and Pensions, and South Liverpool Housing, our programme aims to provide training and employment opportunities for learners hoping to kickstart a career in the aviation sector.

The training was delivered perfectly and I’m walking away from it with a lot of knowledge about aviation and potential careers.

The inaugural cohort of learners are now well underway on their journey towards success – and many of them already have good news to share on the progress they have made during training.

There are countless opportunities on offer – including roles for baggage handlers, customer service providers, hospitality workers, ramp agents, passenger assistants and security guards – so, while the first ever flight of this new programme is now coming in to land, there is still plenty more opportunity for you to get onboard.

The Aviation Academy has made me so much more confident and helped me to realise that a long-term career as a pilot is something I can realistically work towards.
