Learners celebrating with hands aloft

The 11th to the 17th of May is Mental Health Awareness Week 2026. This years’ theme is action, with an emphasis on making positive changes that have a direct impact ourselves and others.

Take Action for Yourself

This week is a great opportunity to give yourself a fresh start or take control of a situation that has been affecting your mental health. Perhaps it’s time to embrace the spring weather and reconnect with nature, or a chance to get back into a sense of routine after a tough winter. Whatever action you decide to take, whether it’s big or small, Mental Health Awareness Week is a great time to start.

Take Action for Someone Else

Get involved by taking action for a friend or colleague that needs a boost. Encourage your friend to pop around for a coffee, make time to praise a colleague or client on that project they just finished. Start a conversation that makes a positive change to someone else’s day.

Take Action for All of Us

Think about how you can get involved in your community and improve understanding of mental health. While raising awareness remains an important focus, taking action is the most effective way to create long-lasting change.
