Crosby Training learners in Speke are now inaugural members of Liverpool’s very first Aviation Academy. Launched in February – with the help of famous musician and proud local, Mike McCartney – the Academy provides training and qualifications that are specifically relevant to work within the airport environment.
Delivered in partnership with Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Department for Work and Pensions, and South Liverpool Housing, every facet of the course has been designed to prepare learners for a vast range of employment opportunities; including roles for baggage handlers, hospitality workers, ramp agents, passenger assistants and security guards.
World-renowned employers – such as, Swiss Port and Wilson James – are also onboard, having already enjoyed successful outcomes with similar academies at other airports up and down the country. We are delighted to be playing a part in delivering this first cohort – and many more in the future.
If you’re interested in securing a place on programme, speak to your JobCentre Work Coach or call us directly on 0151 922 5500. There will be plenty of opportunity to join the Academy over the next few months and beyond!
