Having dedicated much of her daily life to helping others, it came as no surprise when former learner, Julie, approached us at a jobs fair to discuss the possibility of doing some charity work for a cause close to her heart; The Little Princess Trust.
Julie had completed Empowering Women, crediting the programme in helping her build the confidence and motivation she needed in order to make a difference in the local community.
Now employed by a local women’s shelter, Julie has developed links with a number of charities and The Little Princess Trust – an organisation that provides free wigs to young people that have lost their hair to cancer and other conditions – is one of her key partners.

Julie’s plan was simple – to grow her hair as long as she could and then donate the proceeds of her next haircut to the charity. There was just one thing missing, a hairdresser she could trust to do the job while ensuring she could still go to work the next day looking stylish!
Step up, Emma – one of our professional Salon stylists with over 30 years’ experience in the business. She helped Julie pick out a new style, while also ensuring that the charity would get plenty of hair to support their cause.
It was an absolute pleasure to back Julie in supporting such a worthwhile cause, and you can find out more about The Little Princess Trust here. If you have a fundraising idea – but you’re not sure how to get it off the ground – please do not hesitate to contact us, we’d be delighted to help out.
