We are passionate about ensuring that your training programme is the right fit for you, your specific goals and support needs. That is why Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance is at the heart of everything we do.
From the very first day of your course to the very last, our fully qualified CEIAG Team is here to support you, enabling you to make informed decisions on your future.
We are committed delivering Matrix Accredited IAG to all of our learners, maintaining a clear focus on the 8 Updated Gatsby Benchmarks.
CEIAG in Action
Information, Advice and Guidance begins from our very first interaction with you, and it is our responsibility to offer you impartial advice on your best path forward. So, whether you meet us at a Jobs Fair or talk to us on the phone, you can be sure we will provide guidance that puts your best interests first.
If you’re unsure about what you want to do or where to start your journey, we can arrange for you to meet one of our Careers Advisors; who can support you in deciding the best way forward. Similarly, If the course you have been referred to doesn’t feel like the right fit, we will signpost you to a trusted organisation that better suits your requirements.
Start Point – Information Advice and Guidance (IAG)
All of our programmes include a dedicated information day, prior to the training start date. Here, you will gain access to a presentation from the Lead Tutor on all of the programmes details, and a dedicated one-to-one IAG session; where we will work with you to agree an Individual Learning Plan that sets out achievable short and long-term targets.
We will also identify any barriers that you may have – such as, disabilities, learning difficulties, financial barriers or confidence issues – and put in place reasonable adjustments to ensure that you are comfortable and confident in the training environment.
Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
Throughout training, your Individual Learning Plan will be revisited, adjusted and fine-tuned, with your input playing a key role in any changes that are made.
This is a living and breathing document that forms a key cornerstone of your training, and we encourage you to update it regularly. Not only does this provide us even further insight into your thoughts, it also enables all of our staff to keep track of where you are up to.
Careers Guidance
Our embedded Careers Guidance service plays a key role in all of our courses. This is an opportunity for you to speak on a one-to-one basis with independent advisors qualified with National Careers Service and Career Connect. Whatever your short or long-term goals are, our advisors will be able to offer you pertinent advice on the best way forward, so we strongly encourage making use of this service.
Exit Review
At the end of training, you will complete an Exit Review summarising your achievements and progress towards your targets. However, this isn’t the end of your journey, as your Lead Tutor will work with you to agree your next steps and any other ongoing support that you may need.
Ongoing Support
After your course, we will regularly contact you to track your progress. You will also gain access to our city centre Job Shop; an innovative space where you can carry out job search and complete applications with dedicated support from qualified staff.
